I Could Never
Seem To Find Enough Time For A Daily Devotional
No matter What I
would try, I could
never stay on track with a devotional schedule… until now, and I am
going to
help you while I am at it!
My pastor
started a program at our church called the 40 day walk to start out the
New
Year. We were to start off the first 10 days walking for 10 minutes a
day, and
work our way up to 40 minutes on the 4th ten day period. During this
time we
were to be praying for our neighbors, after all as he says the mission
fields
start at home, you don't have to travel to other countries to find
people in
need. I have
never been one to keep up with a self guided program, be it exercise,
diets, or
devotionals. Oh, I start with good intentions, but I always find an
excuse to
quit. I say to myself I’ll just skip today, and do twice as much
tomorrow,
always with good intentions, I mean to start up again but I never get
around to
starting again.
I have
been interested in the social nature of the internet since the early
90's and
have always tinkered with web sites. Some of my online
projects
along with the 40 day walk program prompted me to think of combining
the two,
virtually extending my range worldwide, thus the formation of
MyOnlineWalk.com.
My
goal
is to use my 40 minutes a day, instead of walking, to share weekly
devotionals
with my online community. If I
know you are counting
on me I will get the job done,
